It seems like the sun just came up and here
we are at Animal Kingdom...the park opened early at 8AM with daylight
savings time and Florida time
combined so it was like 6AM to us! the animals were all still out
running around, wondering who let people in the park quite so early!
This is the skull of a very unusual "pig
deer"
Here's another odd animal...the giant anteater!
Another rare beast a porcupine!
Getting to the park also means that there isn't
much of a line for the Safari!
Once aboard the safari jeep the trail winds through grasslands with
a lot of animals like the wildebeast and giraffe
There are both white and black rhinos they
are cute!
The warthog is so ugly he is cute!
Not really sure what these were...but they
are cute too!
This one is a Oryx
And of course this one is a Cheetah
This one is just a lot of bull!
An Elephant, of course
Termites! find the exterminators!
Also a Tiger!
Time to leave the reserve! Safari's over
A very interesting deer here
The "Monkey House"
The baby gorilla
The big daddy gorilla!
We also saw the "Festival of the Lion
King" and "It's Tough to Be a Bug"!
We finished up our walk around Animal Kingdom visiting a different
set of tigers, learning about fruit bats (who are out during the day
and really big!) and the ever prehistoric Kimono dragon.
After riding the Kali River Rapids we pretty much wrapped up Animal
Kingdom..and that was just by noon!
