Not shown on her page is the great sunrise you can see from the
bedroom side of the condo. If you walk down the beach this direction
there is so-so snorkeling. It is at least worth a look, easy, fast
and free. There were dinner plate sized blue tang and a few other
fish on some coral. We didn't find any decent snorkeling heading
to the west from the condo.
A couple of views of the living room.
White leather sofa, TV, DVD player, a few books and DVDs.
Nice modern decor and marble floors. Very clean and easy to
keep clean.
Out of the living room you can sit on
the patio for dinner or sunbathing. It overlooks the grounds
that you have access to. Swimming pool is open from 7-7. There
are gates that you need the grounds key in order to get out
onto the beach.
There are open air showers to spray off the sand when you
come back from the beach.
This is the beach view from the
patio...pretty nice! You walk around the point in the distance
to get to the official Luquillo beach shown in "Day 6"
of our travels...this is Azul beach. Not quite as nice but right
in front of you with easy access.
This is the entry into "PH".
The front gate door can be locked to keep the breezes coming
in. This worked better than AC!
The kitchen is equipped with everything you should need.
There is a toaster oven but not a full oven, just a stovetop.
The washer and dryer are across from the fridge. It is a newer
front load washer so drying time is minimal. Some condiments
and spices are in the kitchen so check before you hit the
grocery store. The grocery store is basically right across
the "highway" (3) that you came in on. It is a full
grocery so you should be able to get all that you need. There
is also a Walgreens close to the grocery store for other supplies
and that has a redbox for DVD rentals if you have time! I'd
watch it to make sure you are getting them in English! the
language is definitely mixed in PR! The subway sandwich shop
is right in front of the entrance gate you take into the complex.
One block to the west is the "Brass Cactus" restaurant
that we recommend. We also went to the "roadhouse"
which is a couple of blocks to the east and right on the street
across from the beach.
The bathroom is modern with the added convenience of a
bidet. The bathtub doesn't have a stopper if you prefer baths.
Again check the supplies before you go shopping. Under the
sink there are some basic first aid supplies and stuff like
Q-tips.
This is the 2nd Bedroom with 4 bunkbeds. There are two
windows that can be cracked for a nice breeze or an AC unit
that can be turned on. Again the breeze is pretty effective
so we didn't turn on the AC much. In the closet of this room
are the supplies you need for the beach. Several sets of snorkeling
gear (even a mask that fit Belle well), sand toys, noodles,
boogie board (head east of the condo for that). The second
closet shot shown is in the master bedroom. Here you will
find the towels and beach blankets. The king sized bed in
the room was comfy and again the windows let in a nice breeze.
Overall I'd highly recommend this unit and the manager.
Easy transaction and nice place. Fantastic price compared
to resorts and hotels. It is placed perfectly if you are going
to include both El Yungue (10 minutes back to the west on
3 is the exit to the forest road) and boat trips from the
Fajardo Marina Puerto Del Rey (20 minutes to the east on 3).
Broadband wireless is available as well as cable TV stations.
