That's right folks-we are in Bear Country. Don't worry-the bears can't eat the other animals because they are
in their own area. We saw lots of bison before but this one has a white calf! cool! We hadn't seen any elk in
Custer so mom was happy to see this one.
There are also supposed to be dahl sheep and big horn sheep in Custer and we hadn't seen them either. At this
park we get to see them close up. There also were mountain lions but they were all sleeping. Did I mention
that it was raining some this day? Most of the animals headed indoors but the sheep were toughing it out!
Most of the park you could drive through in your own car. Someone was watching to make sure that you kept your windows up and didn't stick your arms out. Really-don't worry I'm not about to do that! I have kindergarten coming up this fall!

Besides the animals in the big pens that you drive past there were also animals in smaller pens that you could walk around and look at. This is where they keep the baby bears. There was a grizzly bear too, but he was sleeping. The stuffed one in the gift shop was enough for me! The brown and black bears were cute but he looked big and mean!

There were also lynx, porcupines, otters and my favorite, the baby foxes. They play a lot.

When you are ready follow me! still more to see!
