I wasn't sure what was going on when mom was tugging off my PJs and slipping on my sweats while I was sleeeping but then I remembered we are going on vacation! YEAH! but why do we have to vacation so early! It is before 6 AM!

I was tucked into my car seat but was too excited to sleep...well I fell asleep after a few miles and by the time I woke up the compass said we were headed west. I think we had been on the road a couple of hours. We stopped for breakfast and a potty break.

By noon we had made it to Mitchell. I wasn't sure what a "corn palace"was and wasn't sure I wanted to go in but I did agree to go in and enjoyed it. I loved the Heritage Doll Museum across the street, especially the baby and bride dolls.

Still early in the trip I was willing to have my picture taken with anything-whether on not I knew what it was!
