Tiki's journal

What ARE those girls doing!!
That looks like the start of a great fort!

I love Christmas!!! each year a new victim! This one crinkles like wrapping paper...oh, that's good!
Let's see if this one will last!

I love the Renaissance Festival! I got to wear my kilt and meet a lot of new friends...not sure what this thing was but he sure smelled funny! Fun day with the girls at the fest!

SNOW! I love snow! well, until my feet get cold! then let me in! NOW!
and once it get cold Christmas comes along and I get a new toy!
Is this one mine? Really??? A new victim!!!

I like our new chairs!
What the ? I'm a the Pine City Parade...what is that coming down the street?
I should have known...the monkey is just the clown's puppet...they fool me every time!

We simply couldn't wait for the Mn Renaissance Festival so we headed over to the Chippewa Falls Fest in Wisconsin! It was much smaller but still fun. It was Celtic weekend so I got to model my new Kilt! What do you think? I was concerned the court might mock us Scots but apparently all that bad business is behind us! King Richard even gave me a good scratch!

Lady or the Tramp? Which do you prefer?

Really? the big guy came back like he said he would and filled my stocking? YES! new victims...I mean "chew toys"! YEAH! I love Christmas!

For the entire week the house has been in an uproar! cleaning, dusting, washing! I've never seen the house so clean!
Then people start to show up so I put on my fancy "Mrs Claus" suit...was I glad I dressed up because a different visitor
showed up next! I swear-I've been a good dog all year...well almost...when it all quieted down I could hang out with
my new friend "Aunt Cheryl" and my girl Belle. Wow...what an exciting day!

What a difference a couple of weeks makes! One week I'm digging around in the leaves and the next week the white stuff is back!

I finally got to go to this thing they call the "Renaissance Festival". I was the "cutest little thing there" is what people kept saying...
even though my humans dressed up too people only noticed me when we walked by! Even Twig liked me!

Did you know that sometimes I'm a "Fairy Terrier"? I want to go to the Renaissance Festival this weekend when the other ladies from the house go...
they are going as fairies this weekend, I heard them talking and the purple wig is out! I always think it might be a big purple rat that I need to exterminate
but I am corrected. I think they need me at the Faire! didn't they ever hear about the "black plaque"? How did that start?
With more terriers to take care of the vermin there wouldn't have been an issue....right? I think they should welcome me with open arms!

OK-I got the kid up and ready for her first day of school, let's pack her onto the bus and do chores! My job is to find rodents. I think there is one in this bucket right here...
yup, a whole pack of them! Let me at 'em! I scored 5 mice this morning-a good day! I think I should get a medal for my efforts, ok, just a treat and a nap. Works for me!

I hope I got more than this doofy
elf costume!
A stuffed Frog? you've got to be kidding!
I tried to be a good dog this year...honest!
This is better...I found chew bones at the bottom
of the stocking! the day is saved!

Leaves are fun...
and funner when shared!

I am somewhere called "The Gunflint Trail". It sounded pretty rough but it was actually a paved road! The two leggeds keep trying to fish even though ground critters are way more interesting than anything that swims and smell better too...usually. We did take lots of walks around falls and up and down big hills.
This is called Lake Superior but I've seen oceans and this looks
like an ocean to me! where are those pesky pelicans?
This is the best part of a vacation!
I knew I would win out over stinky fish!
A Clean Dog is
Never Truly Happy

Another doggy play date? I mean horse trial? Mom-I see my friends-can I go play?

The Willow River Campground has great paths to explore...critters, a river, a trail-I'm ready! Hey-lets go!

I'm a lot cuter than the Build A Bear Jack Russell...aren't I?
Well...if the girl goes somewhere that I can't go (or I have other plans)
she can always take the stuffed "Tiki Too" with her so she can sleep at night.

Even a chipper Jack Russell can kind of "get down" in the winter.

I think the humans knew that I needed a few spa days. So they found this coolest place where I met a bunch of new friends!!

There were lots of dogs my size and we played all day!!! I wasn't even done playing yet when the woman came to pick me up!

She said that I could stay longer next time since it went so well! Humans need to get out sometimes as well and they are going someplace called Florida.

I wasn't interested cuz I'm coming back here to hang with my new friends!

If you click on their sign above you can visit their website! If I have a brother he must have been the model for their homepage!!

Sure...as soon as I come out the squirrels run up the tree! just my luck!
One of these days, squirrel, you just watch out! I have my eye on you!
I love horse trimming days! I'm sure hoof nippings aren't quite as good as sqirrel tail but it will have to do for now!

Santa rememberd me! This one just has to be mine!
and this one and that other one!
A pile of new victims! which one first?

Its another beautiful fall day!
complete with crunchy leaves and critters to chase!

Guess who came to visit?!! David and Ally! It was so great to see you guys again! Come visit again in the spring-
I'll be right here!

We keep coming back
to this park! It has a
beach, a fishing dock,
playground and a
a walking trail!

I don't mind if we
come back here
every day!

It's horse show time again! YIPPEE!

I get to run around all day...in the morning we watch horses jump this jump (or not jump it-which only happened once) and in the afternoon run back and forth with sheets of paper on a golf cart! It seems like all my horse show buddies are here. They had a fun summer too!

How cool is that!? I'm sleeping all day tomorrow!

Each week I go and watch the girl kick this ball around the field...I think I know how to do it...I say-COACH PUT ME IN!

Really...who ever heard of
a "flower dog"! Besides this is a horse show! not a dog show!
I was built for diggin!
This is better!
Bury the flowers!
With my ears
flipped back I am
built for Speed!
ok...ok...I'll just wait for the next horse to come. This jump judge work is tough!

Spring brings ducks!

I'm an expert chaser of ducks. I used to do pelicans and they were fun but do the ducks ever make an awful racket! I love it!
Now that the water isn't hard anymore, I am willing to swim to catch up to them but the big guy won't let me and the woman says that makes me just a mess, and stinky... who cares? It's spring! mud washes off...
after a couple of scrubs anyways...
What do you mean I can't play play dough just cuz your friend is over?
I'll just play with the Barbies then!
A full day...
A walk...
a bath...
and a nap

What Tiki Knows...
I've been working on a few things that I'd like to show you....
Sit (this is sooo easy!)
Down (again-too easy!)
Roll Over! (This is the new tough trick!)

"The Princess and the Pea"

Remember the story of the Princess and the Pea? Well that is what Tiki reminds me of.

Anytime you pile pillow up you can be sure that within 10 minutes she will find the pile and somehow get on top!

I built this "Tiki Trap" early in January and waited with my camera. Sure enough within a few minutes she had managed to find her wait to the top and got comfortable.

I can still feel something!
Is my bone under there?

The whole thing is for me?
Wait-this must be my stocking!!! Being good paid off!!!
Somebody throw this thing for me!!! Now!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas?? I've never associated snow with Christmas before!
But I'll try to be good if Santa is around the corner!

OK, How long is this stuff going to stick around this time? Well then, might as well make the best of it! In some places it comes up to my belly hairs! When I run fast I can make it fly into the air!

I'm not really sleeping. This is hard work! keeping this kid in bed!

Now what do you think that stuff is? I've seen lots of stuff fall out of the sky before but this stuff just kind of floats around in no hurry to reach the ground. Doesn't smell like nuthin and doesn't taste like nuthin. Oh well, it probably won't last.

Sometimes I go visit my cousin Kenya. He is a bit older then me but can keep up, well for awhile anyways. That is HIS chair back there and HIS toy. He doesn't let girls play with them. That's ok there's lots of other toys and he can't possibly guard them all at once...can he? I'll grab one quick while the humans are eating turkey!

I DON'T WANT TO BE
A WITCH!
Now this is better! The girl gets to be a princess
I should be able to be her lucky fairy dog!
Remember to ask for doggy treats this time!

Leaf piles are best when shared with a friend...

I don't know why they call these things "horse shows"! Really they are just big doggie play dates!
Don't let this little dog fool ya! Corgis are a lot faster than they look! don't laugh at me I could keep up!

Ally and David came to visit yesterday. It was great to see them again! but I told them that I'm kinda needed by these new folks.

The little girl needs me to keep warm at night and the big guy needs me for his exercises in the morning.

I'll also find out what this "snow" stuff is about. So have fun in Mexico and I'll see you next spring!

We were up and at 'em a bit early this morning. I thought on Saturdays we would get to sleep in! We headed off to a "horse show", another first for me! Horses go whipping by us sitting in these chairs and jump these big jumps! I'd like to chase after them to find out where they are headed to in such a hurry but apparently we are just supposed to hang out here. Horse shows end up being pretty cool because there are as many other dogs to meet and play with as there are horses!

I'm in a place called the "country" on a thing called a "round bale". The woman put me up here and said to stand still but it is windy!

This bale thing is in a huge field that I heard them say my future house will be in. I could have a real big house in a place this size so they will probably be able to stay in it with me. There is a house down the drive with two dogs in it. Looks like I'll have neighbors!

There looks to be lots of room to run out here and I discern a varmit or two around about as well. I am going to exterminate all vermin. I have a mission!

I bet they will even bring those big four leggeds along with. Their hooves cuttings are good for chewin on but they don't know how to play at all. I run in circles and bark at them and they just look at me like I ate too many skittles or something.

Here in the country I'm learning some new skills. I now have chores and duties. On the farm we are going to build I will be in charge of varmits. I'll show you what I've picked up so far. I look for them, take them to ground and here is the most important step but it is difficult to capture-you need to SHAKE them! After that they are usually subdued. Job well done!

Hi-I have a new webpage at my new home. There is a big yard here but I really like the porch too. Oh-and the cuddly girl!
There are so many new smells here! I've checked out the whole property and have a keen interest in the round balls in
the horse pasture. I don't get to roll in them but I think they smell great! I think I'll get along great here.
Gotta go! I'll load up more pictures when I get a chance!
Before I joined my new family I lived in Texas and Mexico!
I was so happy when Allyson and David found me and gave me a home! I was pretty small but I grew with time, food and love!
I learned (somewhere, I don't know where) that true ladies always repose with their legs crossed. I think it was in the court of England in a prior life...but that is all tracked on a different website.

In this life I like to run, chase pelicans and in general cause mischief and chaos. Hey, every breed has a mission. What did you think Terrier meant? We are home terrorists!
