Britton South Dakota is where mom's family is from. She alway said that she had an aunt there and cousins that I had never met. I'm glad we got to have lunch with them. These are all first, second and third cousins except the women standing to the right of me, that is my GREAT aunt Sharon. They
were nice and we had a great lunch with them.

After that we walked down main street. Mom says that not much has changed except the museum that moved from the place we had lunch to a larger building across the street. There is a little park
next to the museum too. In that park they have a locally famous rock called the "prayer rock".
There is a hand print in the rock from an indian brave and a thunderbird. I tried to pray but my hand
print didn't stay in the rock. He must have used magic.

It was fun to see what clothes they used to wear and the tipi's and cabins they lived in but I'm still glad
that I have a regular bed, TV and a computer.

From here we headed over to Fort Sisseton...we'll stop in unless it is raining too hard. Come along!
